We knew right away this home was special. The family had been here more than 30 years—five kids, all raised under the same roof. You could feel the history in the walls. They wanted more light, more space to gather. We opened the ceiling and added skylights. The island became the anchor—long, wide, designed for real life. We shaped the plaster hood by hand. No flash, just classic craftsmanship.
